A young passenger leans into the doorway of a Yangon bus, framed by rivets and a loudspeaker pointing toward the street. I kept the composition spare so the moment reads as a threshold—half in, half out—where the city’s noise pauses and a face thinks its way forward. In black and white the geometry does the talking: the hard edge of the door, the soft field of sky, the round mouth of the speaker. From across a room it reads calm and graphic; up close there’s texture in paint, skin, and the film-like grain.
